Mayor M Subramanian on Tuesday launched property tax collection through hand-held billing machines. The corporation had bought about 300 hand-held machines at a cost of Rs 94 lakh. The system is expected to eventually do away the manual practice of carrying volumnous tax records for collection daily. more »
